If you were born after November 10, 1969 you will have probably grown up watching at least one episode of Sesame Street. Chances are even better that you have seen more than one of the 4,186 episodes of Sesame Street.
The long running PBS series has reached a very respectable 40 seasons, and has as I recall taught children to count up to three as well as their ABCs. Giving them the ability to spell “Cab” for example. Seriously though Sesame Street is an awesome program that has made learning fun and accessible for children all around the world.
And I for one want to thank the creators for the work they have put into keeping Sesame Street going for 40 years. And I hope that they can keep it going Sesame Street going for another 40 years. Congratulations Big Bird, on this your 40th anniversary, and all the other inhabitants of Sesame Street!
And for those of us that think we have out grown Sesame Street, or that think Sesame Street is no longer cool… Checkout this guy beat boxing his flute to the Sesame Street theme song.
